A tiny hack to increase your app rating [personally tested]

Reviews are one of the most crucial matrices of your app. Google and iOS ranking algorithms count on rating too much. So, if you are having an average below 4.0 rating then my friend you are losing a ton of traffic.

59% of people usually or always check ratings before downloading a new app

Moreover, if your app is sawed by an interested user then the chances are very high that he/she will leave it after watching that below 4.0 rating. And that is totally just because no-one wants to spend time and money on an app about which people are already telling that this thing is not that good. This phenomenon could be wrong if your app is very unique and no other app is providing that your app is, but you know, the world is full of alternatives. Even Medium got the alternatives.

Anyway, there is a way, that you can use to get more ratings on your app.

I have seen a lot of apps making mistake by taking users directly to Google Play Store. That is not that good approach. Because you are letting every kind of user to talk about your app on the Play Store and the angry may leave a bad review which has a direct impact on your upcoming visitors.

So a better approach would be to classified the users by there feelings.

Let me explain:
First, you need to ask in a small dialog that how you feel about this app, with the options: Happy, Confused Unhappy.

Second:
If they tap HAPPY then ask them nicely to leave a five-star review on Play Store.

If they tap CONFUSED then take them to onboarding screen, or provide a form to know what things are actually confusing them.

If they tap UNHAPPY, then ask what things are making you unhappy or what features they want to be implemented.

This is a small heck that can not only help you to improve your app ranking but also provides you with more insights about users feelings.

PS: Show this dialog when the user is happy, like after completing a difficult level. It will maximize your chance of getting a 5-star review.
